And about avatars--do you have any photmanipulation or art programs? (like adobe photoshop or elements. a simple program that comes with a digital camera or scanner should work too). You basically just do lots of cropping and shrinking till it gets close to the right size, and then you directly set it to the pixel dimensions you want (in adobe stuff, if you have a square, you do Image-->Image size and alter it. if it's not a square, do Image-->Canvas size and set it to 50x50, and it'll crop it for you without distortion). You may have to turn off the "Keep aspect Ratio" to get it exact, so it can be tricky to cut it close enough to prevent distortion. You could also just open up a new art file and set the right dimensions from the start, and then draw into it.

Er, hope that wasn't too confusing. ^_^;;
